灯しびとの集い
Craft event in Osaka
先週末に大阪・堺市で行われた、灯しびとの集いという
クラフトフェアに行ってきました。
2日間ともお天気に恵まれて、ゆっくりと作品を見て回れました。
お店で作品を扱っている作家さんも何人か出店されていたんです。
で、ここまで来たらと思って奈良まで足を伸ばしました。
やっぱり阿修羅像は何度見ても飽きませんね。あの憂いを帯びた表情、何とも言えません。
千手観音菩薩立像もすごいですけどね。
こちらは、大阪と奈良で買った手拭いです。
右は奈良らしい鹿や五重の塔がプリントされています。
左の手拭いは堺市の注染（ちゅうせん）という方法で染めたものです。
広げると。。。
千利休つながりのお茶や古墳など、堺市にまつわるデザインでいっぱいです。
ちなみにMOZUは漢字では百舌鳥と書きます。これは、この鳥がいろんな鳥の鳴き真似をすることが
できるということからつけられた名前だそうです。
この時期は堺市のあちこちでイベントが行われていて、市内をはしるシャトルバスには
ボランティアガイドさんが乗車していて、地元ネタをいろいろと解説してくれます。
堺市には素敵なカフェや雑貨屋さんが次々とできているのでおススメですよ。
もちろん、かん袋のくるみ餅をお店で味わうのもお忘れなく。
The craft event, Tomoshibito-no-Tsudoi, was held
on the last weekend in Sakai City, Osaka.
It was sunny on the both days.
Some creators whose works we deal with at our shop attended the event.
This time, I went to Nara to see some national treasures,
mainly Ashura statue and The thousand-armed Goddness of Mercy.
I got two Tenugui in Osaka and Nara.
Each has its own characters.
The one made in Sakai has different characters which are famous for the city,
such as Japanese green tea by Sen no Rikyu and Daisen Burial Mound and etc.
There are many event in the city in this season and many volunteers help tourists.
As a lot of new cafes and shops have been started around this area, you can enjoy
a lot your stay in this city.
