イ・キジョ先生の工房訪問in韓国
Studio of Prof. Lee Gee jo in South Korea
2015年12月15日、5度目の韓国2日目。
安城（アンソン）行きの高速バスに乗り込んで
1時間ほどすると冬の田んぼ風景が目に入ってきました。
固めた藁を入れた円柱の白いビニールは日本でも馴染みの光景です。
安城バスターミナルから通訳をしてくれる橋本さんと合流して向かったのは
韓国現代白磁の第一人者のイ・キジョ先生の工房。
先生の作品は韓国の伝統的な形のものと現代風にアレンジしたものの両方があります。
工房奥の住居スペースで先生に出迎えてもらいました。
さっそく先生へのインタヴュー開始です。
通訳の橋本さんには申し訳なかったのですが、先生に聞きたいことがたくさんあって
つい、どんどん質問をしてしまいました。
工房にはいろんな道具があって、道具好きにはたまらない空間。
「感情を抑え込むのではなく、感情に呼吸を合わせて作品を作ることが大切」という先生の言葉が印象的でした。
他にも、日本のギャラリーの人に案内してもらって李朝時代の作品などに
実際に触れて勉強された話も教えてもらいました。
畑で大根や白菜といった野菜を作っている先生はあくまでも自然体で物静かで、
それが温かみのある白磁に繋がっているのだと思いました。
先生お手製のナツメ茶も美味しかったです！
ソウルに戻って次の日は、先生がおススメしてくれた梨花女子大学の美術館へ。
ここのコレクションは先生のお墨付きです。
ちょうど白磁の特別展をしていました！
この余計な力みのない柔らかいラインがなんとも言えません。
この大学の食堂で食べたジャジャ麺は女子大（！？）だからか玉ねぎたっぷり。
おかげさまで大満足の旅となりました。
It was the fifth for me to visit South Korea.
On the second day of this trip, I went to Anseong by bus.
After about one hour, rice fields could be seen in my eyes.
I was going to the studio of Prof. Lee Gee jo.
He is the leading potterer of modern white porcelain in South Korea.
His works are not traditional styles but also ones mixed with modern elements.
He welcomes Ms. Hashimoto, the interpretor, and me at his living space.
I started the inverview.
Sorry for Ms. Hashimoso, but there were many questions I wanted to ask him.
In the studio, there were many tools for making his wors.
Looking at such tools were quite interesting for me.
He said, "It is importanto to make works getting along with feelings, not putting down them."
This is quite impressive.
And he taught me that he leanrd traditional style of white porceralin by touching practically such old works.
He makes vegetables by himself, which lead his works calm and natural.
On the next day, I went to Ewha university museum in Seoul.
This museum is his recommendation for its wonderful collections of white porcelain.
Fortunatelly, many beautiful works were displayed due to the epecial exhibition.
I tried Noodle which is popular in the country.
I really meaningful time there !
