うつわや冬の京都旅
Trip to Kyoto in winter
仕入れと観光を兼ねて冬の京都へ行ってきました。
1泊2日のうち、初日は仕入れを。
東哉（とうさい）さんは1919年創業の窯元です。
清水寺そばの茶わん坂にあって、
暖簾をくぐると石灯ろうがある素敵なお店です。
こちらでは、「器は季節感が大事」という店主の言葉どおりの色や形が春らしい作品や
白磁のきりりとした作品、内側が本物の金を張り付けたぐい吞みなどを見せてもらいました。
休憩は同じ五条エリアにある河井寛次郎記念館近くの市川屋珈琲さんにて。
市川屋ブレンドは酸味が少なくて個人的にはとても気に入りました。
午後からは平安楽堂の松岡賢司さんの工房へ。
こちらでも伝統的な作品だけでなく、
パステルカラーもあるポップな色の組み合わせが楽しめる新作を見せてもらいました。
東哉さん、松岡さんと作品をいろいろ見せてもらったのですが、
京都らしい雅なものからモダンなものまで本当に多様で柔軟で、
さすが京都！と実感しました。
2日目は東寺へ。毎月21日は弘法市と呼ばれる骨董市が開かれます。
少し早い時間帯だったので、あまり混雑していません。
実はこの弘法市は骨董だけでなく、食べ物屋さんだったり現代作家さんも出店しています。
お店でも作品を取り扱っている菅原顕悟さんのブースに到着しました。
やはり作品は直接見るに限ります。
今日は平安神宮で御朱印をもらってから
すぐそばにある京都モダンテラスへ。
建築家の前川國男さん設計の建物の2階のカフェが京都モダンテラスです。
店内は広々としていて天井も高く開放感があります。
写真には撮れませんでしたが、テーブル席の近くには梅が豪快にディスプレイされていて
この広い空間を素敵に演出していました。
季節を取り入れるのが上手な京都はいつ来ても勉強になります。
I went to Kyoto for business and sightseeing.
The first day, I visited Tosai, a pottery, and Matsuoka Kenji, a potter.
There is a stone lantern just inside the shop of Tosai,
which is located along the Chawan-zaka near Kiyomizu-dera Shrine.
The owner of Tosai showed me a variety kind of works including seasonal ones.
He said: "The most important thing for tableware is to express seasons."
Before going to the studio of Mr. Matsuoka Kenji, I dropped by a coffee shop
near Kawai Kanjiro Memorical Museum.
Its blended coffee was not so sour and it was my taste.
After coffee break, I visited the studio of Mr. Matsuoka Kenji.
He makes traditional items, however, he showed me new items with light colors.
In Kyoto, creators make a lot of efforts to create new items with traditional skills and modern ideas.
This is the Kyoto!
The second day, I went to Toji market.
It is held on 21st every month.N
Mr. Sugawara Kengo has a booth at this market.
I picked up some of his items for stock.
Then I went to Heian Jingu Shrine and got Goshuin, letter bearing.
By the shrine, a new cafe had been opened.
The cafe is named Kyoto Modern Terrace.
The ceiling was tall and displayed flowers was cool inside the cafe.
2-day trip is too short to know and enjoy Kyoto!
