現在開催中の「yuta 須原健夫作品展」より
オクトゴナルミニプレートをご紹介します。
全てが手作りの須原さんの作品は、輪郭は金属特有のすっきりとしたラインですが、
縁の立ち上がりの角にはやわらかさが残っています。
表面をよく見ると、模様のようなものが見えます。
これは、叩く面を粗く仕上げてある金槌で軽く叩いて仕上げているからです。
こうすることで作品に表情が生まれます。

We'll introduce a mini plate made by SUHARA Takeo.
This octogonal mini plate is all hand-made by the creator.
HIs all hand-made works make both clear lines and soft lines at the same time.
You can see some kind of dots on its surface.
This is made by hitting with a hammer whose surface is rough.
This skill makes its surface some expression.
