備前焼の花器に花を活けると花が腐りにくい、
という話をよく耳にします。
確かにその通りで、備前焼の花器を使うと花の持ちが断然いいんです。
これは釉薬を使わない焼き締めの特徴で、
水は通さないけど空気を通すので、
水を新鮮に保つことができるためだそうです。
で、この写真は水をおいしくしているところです^^
これは茶道のお手前で使う「水指（みずさし）」の中でも、
「中置（なかおき）」と呼ばれる、10月だけに使われるタイプです。
これを日常に使えないものかと考えた挙句、
珈琲をドリップするときに、この中置に一晩つけた水を使うことにしました。
水を含んだ備前焼は、しっとりと艶が出ていい感じです。
たまには時間をかけて珈琲を淹れるのもいいものですね。

Originally Bizen pottery has no glaze,
which fresh air can through it and flowers can be kept fresh condition.
Now we put into some water in a Bizen pottery water jag and
are waiting for the water to become more delicious.
This water jag is called "Nakaoki" for tea ceremony.
However, we would like to try using it in our daily life.
We will make some coffee with the water in the jag tomorrow ^^
Probably the coffee will have a special taste !
