ここ数日で、秋が急速にやって来ました。
秋といえば月、そして兎。
ということで本日の器はこの2作品です。
上は藤塚光男さん、下は三宅木工房さんの作品です。
藤塚さんの「波に兎5寸皿」は月も加わって季節はまさに秋。
縁の陽刻も図柄とよく合っています。
5寸サイズのお皿は取り皿としても小さなおかず用としても便利ですよ。
木のトレーの材質はブラックチェリーです。
目が細かく手触りが滑らかなので、トレーやカトラリー向きなんです。
トレーの端はわずかに持ち上がっていて5ミリほどの縁がついています。
世界に一つだけの木目とノミ跡の組み合わせです。
木のトレーが三日月に見えるようにお皿をずらして遊んでみました。

Fall has come so quickly!
And fall reminds us "moon" and "rabbit".
So, today's items are these works:
the top is a 15cm plate by Mitsuo FUJITSUKA
and the bottom is a wood tray by Miyake Woodcraft Studio.
The plate has "wave, rabbit and moon" on inside.
This plate expresses "Fall".
This 15cm size plate is useful for serving small dishes.
The wood tray is made of black cherry tree.
The tree has smooth texture, so it is good for cutlery.
The edge of the tray is lifted a little and has 5 mm rim.
The combination of the grain and chisel traces is the only one in the world.
