先日、三宅木工房さんにお邪魔してきました。
三宅さんはご夫婦で作品を作られていて、
カトラリーは主に奥様の作品です。
スプーンなどはとても薄く作られていて口当たりも優しいので、
小さいお子さんにも向いていると思います。
この日連れて帰って来た作品をご紹介します。
まずはナラとサクラの茶さじです。
上の茶さじがナラで、下がサクラです。
ナラは木目が素朴で、サクラはキメが細かいのが特徴です。
それからナラの丸皿です。
丸皿はノミで形成しているので、ノミの跡が見えます。
表面がつるっとしていないのがポイントです！
焼きたてのトーストをのせたら下の部分が熱でしっとりしてしまった。。。という経験がありませんか？
このお皿だとパンとトーストが密着しないので、トーストの下に熱がこもりにくくなります。
ここではトーストではなくチャバタをのせてみましたが、
やはり木のお皿とパンはよく合いますね。
The other day, we visited Miyake Woodcraft Studio.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Miyake create the wooden crafts.
Cutleries are mainly made by Mrs. Miyake.
Small spoons are quite comfortable to use and
they will be good for small children.
Now, we introduce the craft works we got then.
The first ones are tea spoons.
The upper one is made from oak and
the lower one is from cherry tree.
Oak has natura atmosphere and cherry tree has smooth surface.
You can see evidence of wood chisel's work on the plate.
This evidence will keep toast from getting wet^^
We recommend you wood plates to enjoy dining with bread !
