今日は藤塚光男さんの「ダミ瓢文皿」をご紹介します。
サイズは左が直径約13㎝（4寸）、右が直径約22㎝（7寸）です。
古伊万里の雰囲気を目指している藤塚さんは、釉薬の原料に「イス」という木の灰を使っています。
この木は昔は南九州に多くあって、古伊万里もこの「イス」の灰を使っていたということです。
地が青みがかっていて、少しくすんだように見える瓢箪は
小さい頃に家にあったか別の場所で見たのかのような懐かしさを感じます。
ちなみに瓢箪は厄除けや無病息災、子孫繁栄を願う日本の伝統的な縁起物として知られています。
小さいほうは取り皿としてはやや小ぶりですが、お漬物やだし巻き卵をのせたくなります。
このお皿に乗る分だけと決めてお菓子を乗せるのもいいですね。
大きいほうは小さなおかずを4種類ほど盛り付けても楽しそうです。
This time we will introudce two items which were made by FUJITSUKA Mitsuo.
They are plates with gourd patterns.
The left one is about 13cm in diamter, and the right one is about 22cm.
The creater has tried to make works like Ko-Imari, old Imari porcelain
and he uses glaze with ash of Distylium racemosum,
which was also used for making the old porcelain.
With looking at his works, you may feel some nostalgic due to their soft and warm blue gourd patterns.
The smaller one will be good for small dishes like pickles, Japanese omelette or sweets.
The big one will be fine for some kinds of dishes, or serinvg for 3-4 portion.
In Japan, gourd pattern is considered as a bringer of good luck.
